Meet the people you can rely
on in Dutch family law.
All lawyers need knowledge and smarts to do a good job. But family lawyers need more: the clarity, depth, and honesty to look past complicated relationships and find the best solutions. Because you are not a legislative act or a code on a page. You are a person with your own circumstances, perspectives, and goals.
Every day we strive to deepen our understanding — not just of law, but of the people affected by it. We come to this job with our own diverse backgrounds. Each client’s unique story teaches us something about people, relationships, and family law. This is the experience we offer.

Liana Vieira
Languages: Dutch, English, Portuguese, Cape Verdean (Crioulo)
Liana Vieira distinguishes herself with three Master’s degrees in law, from Erasmus University, University of Amsterdam, and the Santa Clara University of Law in the United States. She firmly believes that lawyers need to be involved in the social good, and as such co-founded the Cape Verdean legal center “Nos Direito” to provide free legal advice to Cape Verdeans who don’t speak Dutch.
Aside from family law, she’s registered with the Dutch Bar Association (Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten) as a specialist in personal injury law and victim’s rights law. She’s a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (Letselschade Advocaten) and the Association of Young Professionals Personal Injury (Vereniging Jonge Professionals Personenschade).
“At my root, I work in family law because I’m a people person. I want clients to feel comfortable telling me what’s important to them; I want to understand the emotions and needs of each party. Only then can we de-escalate conflicts and reach the best solution. I want to help them move on, look forward, rebuild — and have the confidence to believe in themselves again.”
